NEXT! Policy Statement
We, at NEXT!
want to provide you with the very best in piercing, tattooing and aftercare. You
walk into our shop trusting us to break your skin. That trust deserves to be treated
with respect.
We, at NEXT!
will never be the cheapest place to get a piercing or tattoo. To do that we would
have to cut quality or service and you deserve better than that.
We, at NEXT!
will never be the fastest either; it takes time to explain all the things you
should know about aftercare and to do your piercing or tattoo right. You deserve
that and so does the person ahead of you.
We, at NEXT!
understand a basic very principle; once
you leave our shop, for better or for worse, you become our advertising. We try
to remember that in everything we do.
Age Limit
There is no federal legal age for piercing or tattooing in Canada. Some areas
have local by-laws. Vancouver does not. Our shop age is sixteen without a parent's
permission and with valid ID. We figure that if you're old enough to pilot 1500
pounds of metal down a public highway at 50 miles per hour then you're old enough
to decide if you want a 1.4 gram of it in your own body.
Tattoos received at age 16 will teach you something by the time you're 30; either
that you made a stupid mistake or that you had a pretty good idea of who you were
already.
If your son or daughter lies about their age and obtains a piercing or tattoo
from us under false pretenses then we suggest that you deal with them about lying
to get what they want and disregarding your wishes. We do a fine job of piercing,
tattooing and aftercare; it is not our job to discipline your children.
Zero Tolerance for drug and alcohol impaired
customers.
