Straight Barbells
(BBS) - All our barbells are internally threaded,
that is the bead screws into the barbell shaft not onto to it. It costs more to
make them this way but there are no exposed threads to rip up your piercing as
the shaft travels through it. Barbells are used mostly for tongue piercings (please
do not call it a tongue-ring!) although most piercings that can be done with a
ring can be done with a barbell provided a 1˛4" of slop is left to facilitate
healing. Once the piercing is healed the barbell can be downsized to a snug fit
for a $10.00 sterilization fee. Beads for barbells come in 2mm (16 ga. only) 4mm.
6mm. and 8mm. Most barbells offer stainless beads. Body Circle Designs ships with
three steel or hematite so you have a choice and a spare. All NEXT!
barbells are threaded at 1.2mm so that you can customize your barbell with gold,
ceramic or semi-precious stone beads from our selection. |

Circular Barbells
(CBBS) - as illustrated, circular barbells are
just what they sound like. They cost a little more to make than straight ones
so expect to invest a little more. They can be worn in any piercing where you
can wear a CBR and take the same assortment of beads as straight ones. |

Curved Barbells,
Banana Barbells or L-bars (CCBBS) - Usually worn
in navel piercings and sometimes the best choice for piercing some navels. Often
worn with different sized balls, one large one small. Also sometimes worn in a
PA in larger gauges. Use them wherever you want. Make your own rules. |

Jewelled
Navel Curves (JNC) - Like a Curved Barbell but
with a fixed Jewelled bead at one end and a small removable bead at the other.
Available with many different gemstones. All the JNC we sell have the stones crimp
set so that they cannot fall out avoiding costly and annoying repairs. |

Gemstones - All
NEXT! barbell beads are available with the gemstones illustrated.
Not all of the stones are always available but we will take special orders for
whatever is not in stock. The stones are real; not cut glass, so colour and availability
will vary. Stones are crimp set into the beads, not glued so we guarantee that
you will not lose a stone. They are also autoclavable. |

Accessory Beads
- NEXT! barbells are all tapped
to take 1.2mm. threads regardless of gauge from 14 gauge up. We carry a full line
of semi-precious stone beads in almost ant type of stone; far beyond the range
you see here. We also carry solid gold, gold set with gemstones and specialty
thingees like dice, aliens and the ubiquitous skull in addition to realistically
custom stuff. 16 ga, barbells are too thin to take a 1.2 internal thread so require
beads with thinner threading. Custom beads are available but require time, patience
and a basic grasp of reality. |
