My first experience with body piercing happened at the innocent age of 14. My friend wanted her navel pierced and so I volunteered to do it. Long story short… it was a bloody mess and her navel still wasn’t pierced when I had finished. About a year later, I moved on to more exotic piercings when I used a hammer and a safety pin to pierce my penis (I certainly wouldn’t recommend this practice!). It was long overdue when in 1998 I decided to train as a professional body piercer.

My training began with a 6 month apprenticeship at a popular studio in Victoria, BC. It was here that I learned the basics of piercing, however I feel that I learned the more important aspects of professional piercing at the Gauntlet Piercer Training Seminars held in San Francisco, California (these seminars no longer exist). It was at the Gauntlet Seminars that I learned how to pierce in a clean and professional environment. Upon my return from San Francisco I found the studio I was working at to be less than professional and sought a cleaner and more devoted work place.

It was at the end of my search that I found NEXT!. NEXT! provided me with the clean and professional atmosphere that I felt was of utmost importance in this industry and since I started here I have continued to learn and grow as a devoted and professional piercer. I specialize in surface piercings (see me for a consultation as I don’t do them on just anybody… serious piercing collectors only!), male genital piercings and, of course, I love piercing navels.
